battery light

Ive just had a new harmonic balance fitted to my vn and battery light has been on ever since.I have a brand new battery and just had to jump start my car to get home from work....Balancer related ? or something else ?

that prob means your alternator not charging could be just the plug on alternator or loose/broken wire or the brushes worn out

just pulled alternator off,brushhes seem ok,wires are fine,gonna take in an get it tested

I had my battery light solid on a couple of years ago

There's a fuse link wire coming off (i think) the +'ve battery terminal to the cable that goes to the alternator. That was just old and crappy and was resulting in the battery not charging. Was an easy fix in the end. Might not be u'r problem, but it's easy to check at least

check out your power regulator thats why my battery light always came on. dont leave it too long or your battery will die while the cars running thats what happened to me
