My LSD isn't as tight as it used to be (bit like the misses). Have heard there is a process involved in tightening it back to it's former glory. I have never worked inside a diff, but am handy with a spanner. Is it something to tackle or best left to the pros?
Not something you can really do yourself best left to the pros. what you can do yourself is remove the center and take it down get it tightened and reinstall save you a bit of cash.

Since you will be having the diff center out. I think you should throw a few extra pennies at it and get some NEW oversized clutch cones fitted, rather than just having it 'tightened' AKA shimmed.
Several times i have thrown money at getting LSD's shimmed and they didnt last very long, most of the time cause the clutch material softens with age. My last lsd lived for 2000 kms and one straightline skid.
That shimming job cost me $350 all done. then i had to pull the center out again to see that it had bottomed out again. Bit the bullet and put in 2 new oversize clutches ($90 for the pair) and now its good as gold
Hit me up with some reputation points if i've helped you out! (Star in the bottom left!) Cheers!
