    Default OMG Pedals

    Ok, heres the story

Im slowly doing up my vp interior, and i got to the point where i looked at my pedals and i thought to myself, they look crap, so i had a brainwave (cough cough) and thought i'd go to Supa cheap and but myself a set of pedal covers, bearing in mind that i had no idea how they worked, but i thought that it would be a piece of piss to put on.

2 hours later and with much cursing and swearing, (sorry to the kids that were playing on the road nearby, more on that later) i finally got them on and they looked ok except for the accel pedal. The original pedal was longer that the "cool" one i was trying to put on, so it stuck out the bottom by about an inch. I thought well thats not too bad and it looks okay. Now for a test drive.

Now i've got a pretty broard foot, i take a size 12-13 shoe, but what i failed to take into account was that the brake pedal was also quite wide, i think you guys can see where this is going or in my case not stopping (Brake + Accelarator = No stopping, Just Reving). Sorry Kids.

In Conculsion, no one hurt or close ot being hurt

    2 hours to put on
    30 Seconds to take off

Set of Pedal Covers for automatic going cheap

yeah they are illegal, but wat they dont no dont hurt them, plus my switch is right next to the neon so no one knows of them lol, did u have troubles with the little bits of rubbers coming of the pedals, i dont have any left now but u dont notice a difference

neons are illegal if mounted outside the car and inside, its just that placing the blue neons were me and VN-88 have placed them the neons cant be seen from outside the car, there just for interior looks anyways so the cops wont know there there unless they walk up to the car while they are on . . . . .. yer i did notice the little rubbers on the pedals coming off lol, i ahve got about half mine left

Im getting a set of cheap neons just to see what they look like, but their the ones that are powered byt the cigga lighter, can i cut the wires and connect them up to a swtich of something? If so can some one direct me to where i might get some instructions
    Cheers

Also how do you go about taking the original pedals off to replace them on the VP, do you need to cut them off and weld new ones on?

Yeah most neons will come with a cigi lighter plug, just cut the wires and do what you want with them, normally i would wire them upto the acc power source and with a fuse and switch somewhere along the line

I got real pissed at trying to fit the pedals with those crap brackets so I threw the brackets drilled through the new pedals and the old pedals and bolted them in with small stainless bolts, no dramas.
Love the blue neons, how hard are they to rig up under the dash and how do you do it please.

ill try and draw u a pic of how to do the neons... i no enough to be able to do

    blue is neons
red line is constand 12 volt or wat ever power ur neaons need, with a switch breaking it in 2 after the neons before the main power connection... this must be a consant power so its easyier
