VG ute starting problems

when i start the car it will turn over but not fire untill the oil light turns off, thinking oil pressure problems need help though cheers Brad

Well your description tells me its a V6? If the fuel pump relay fails, power will be supplied to the fuel pump via the oil pressure switch. When starting the engine, the fuel pump will not operate until the oil pressure is sufficient to extinguish the oil pressure warning light.
