Heys guys, i hav a vp auto v6 and the problem is it runs out of fuel on a quarter of a tank, and it couldnt be the gauge. Its for sale and i need to fix it before i hav people looking at it. Please help!!! Cheers

Or the float on the tank isn't correctly set anymore so the fuel gauge sender still thinks there is a 1/4 of a tank left as the float sticks at that level

I know a local guy that was asking me about his car, had the same problem.
Its a 97 Nissan Bluebird, gets to half a tank of fuel and dies. I told him I have no idea.
He picked it $200 so hes not complaining, just annoyed with with the car dying when the fuel goes down.
Fairly common in these cars: return line becomes disconnected from swirl pot INSIDE the fuel tank. Pull the sender assembly out with the tank as empty as possible and have a look around, might spot the problem.
Without this return line going directly into the swirl pot, the pickup is not kept in fuel so it will stall at around 1/4 to 1/3 of a tank whenever you turn a corner.

yeh thats the problem i have, and ive taken the tank out and ive seen the return fuel line has snapped.. how do you fix it?? would be easy if i could get into the tank
