you could go a custom memcal tuned to suit your needs, I do recall seeing a "burnout" chip on ebay, no cut out/limiter and timing ajusted to a very advanced state. Would only run on 98 octaine

Why? it wont do burnouts any better, it wont make more power and will probably blow up. I can never understand why people love doing foot ons so much, sigh.

Simple as a new memcal tune as stated above.

Like above unless its a calais ya can turn them off but ya will turn the crank into a 2 piece as they dont like spinnin much past the 5500 limiter unless ya buildin a good engine remember the computer is there to control things for a reason.

i dont think you even know what the thing is your talking about, vn/p auto boxes are hydraulic so the computer has nothing to do with the box

Clutchy, unless your VN Calais had a 4L60E and this mystery computer trick really does exist, you are talking absolute shit here and just confusing everyone who reads this thread. Please stop peddling misinformation.

A STANDARD vn v6 makes its maximum power at roughly 5000 rpm anyway. revving it higher will only kill it quicker.

So VN V6s have a factory limiter that cuts fuel?

I have bounced around up there on a few occasions, it does sound like a limiter but i wasn't sure if it was just valve bouncing or something.

If you are seriously struggling to kill the motor, spinning it past 6 k will certainly help.
