Default Hiding a supercharger? vp v6

    hey guys,
Just wondering if anybody knows if its possible to 'hide' a supercharger on a vp v6?
Or even some sort of side mounted one?

You could hide it in the boot...

Supercharger is belt driven, so it's going to be next to the engine at best - still easily seen.
Low mount turbo would be better for stealth.

Indeed it would be, but they're a bit laggy due to the exhaust being cooled a fair bit.

Mines fair well hidden. Just close the bonnet and no one can see it....

In all seriousness, if a copper knows what their looking for you cant hide it. I assume this is a p-plater stealth mod type question? Your best off with a factory supercharged conversion with the engine cover kept on and the word "supercharged" taken off. Also dont go overboard with loud exhaust, lowering, custom paint and big wheels and anything else to draw attention to yourself. Most importantly dont do stupid shit on the road to cause you to get pulled over and your car looked at

Regardless of whether the turbo could be seen or not, wouldn't it be obvious from the exhaust manifolds and additional air intake plumbing etc

    My god.
Some kids need to have their voices muffled by their own rectums I swear it.

If you want to risk it. Do it properly. Because a poorly supercharged, poorly performing engine will still attract the same fine and demerit points as higher performance motor. Dumb thread is dumb.

Going to agree with soop. Your dreaming mate the only proper hidden mod u can do is stroking and cam! Any cop can see a super charger and turbo! Any cop who pops the bonnet will have a fair idea! On that note how will I explain my walkinshaw twin throttle 355 in my ss. Whit a lot of bullshit talk I think.
On that note my mate got defected for pod filter and to low, totally missed the high mount turbo, external waste gate turbo, aftermarket computer etc lol

the money you will throw at that silly little buick is dead money, you will NEVER get your worth while out of it, ive seen a few vr's and stuff now, side mount blowers on 9psi. yet they dont even pull 200 kw ? but its a $6,000 kit. wich is money well wasted to me. do it once, do it right. stick a 5.0 in it, and boost that. raptor make a 210rwkw kit for about $5500. on the other hand if this is a p plater thing, i have high ratio rockers (1,9), cold air, exhaust, T5 , short throw shifter and hd clutch, 3,9s and a mini spool, that would be your best bet if you are a p plater, it will still give 5,7s a good run untill about 100. and the best part is when you open the bonnet it all looks standard.

I still say dont drive like a wanker in built up areas any you will be fine with a forced induction setup providing the car isnt too loud and looks stock. Ive done 200k in 7 years, RBT a bunch of times, pulled up for speeding once and never once had my bonnet opened. If I had a 3 inch exhaust with hollowed out cats with stockys on the back, 25mm of ground clearance, 8 people in my car, neons, and doing burnouts in the maccas carpark it might be a different story.

Dont get me wrong, I still dont think its worth it, but if hes thinking of taking the risk the chances of ever having his bonnet opened are next to zero if he's smart about it.

Its easy to hide a supercharger in your car. Get a box, put supercharger in box, close box, put in boot, DONE.
