    Default au thermos on vn 5l

    have purchased a set of au twin thermos and now cant mount my charcoal canister as there is no room any ideas on how to mount it thanx heaps

    I moved mine. Just made a custom bracket and shoved it out of the way. Check out here for other fitting tips:

    As above, just mount it somewhere else. As long as it's there and hooked up it doesn't really matter where it's mounted.

    Common when putting a late model engine into an older model car.

    Hi there,

    Ive just put a 304 from a vq statesman into an 80 series landcruiser, I have a new 80 series petrol radiator with twin el falcon thermos behind it, Just wondering how youve wired up the thermos. I was going to wire them to the computer, but the motor was running a clutch fan originaly. I think thats just a back up source if the coolant temp hits 100 dg. And I would have thought running them though a craig davis switch maybe if the motor is running to cold the computer would run rich hence using more fuel.
    Im a bit baffled on this ,Any info would be helpful.

    Ive got twin el...I think there the same anyway. cooling capacity isnt the problem, I just need to find out how to wire them up without disturbing engine performance and economy.
