Default Installing Sub in VP ute - Or should I?

    Hi Guys,

I recently sold my stock VT and purchased a VP 5.0L ute. I had quite a descent sound system in the VT but only dragged the Sub and Amp out before selling.

The panel/cavity behind the seat seems like it has a fair amount of room in there for a sub, if i was to cut into it. My questions are:
    1. Would i do any harm by cutting into this cavity?
    2. which would be a better position? (the heavy end facing in or out of cavity)
    3. Don't install the sub at all?

Sorry if the thread should go into the Audio area, i thought i would get more assistance specicfic to the model of the ute.

Thanks in advance for any help.
    Jamie

think you can get a box made that will tuck in behind the seats with out cutting into that cavity. and just get some shallow woofers for the box.... theres gotta be a thread on that on this site...

I heard you can fit a 12 inch sub next to the fuel tank In a custom box. That way it would be hidden

Haha, I'm here. Well I think I am going to sell my sub, keep my amp and power 4 Rockford Fosgate 6.5s in the ute, should be a nice quality sound, if you want anything more in a ute your a basshead..... My bass days are over :-P this option will also be clean and safe!
