Default Drives side door lock problem! Please help!

    ALRIGHT!
So, working the little things out of project Aero and decided to get around to the door lock. for as long as I can remember (but I don't think when I first got it) the drivers side door would not lock, no matter what I did, so no key, central locking even the interior tab thing on the door. I really noticed this when I changed the door trims over. Anyway I just figured that the central locking actuator was seized or stuffed so I took off the trim today and had a look, I took off the wire for the central locking but realised it was in perfect condition so I looked around at other causes of problem but can't really find any. I think Its the lock cylinder maybe? It seems that I can unlock the door, but it gets jammed or something when I try locking it.
    What should/can I do?

did you put power to the actuator? there all the same no lefts rights or front rears. jut plug it into one of the back door looms and test or test it directly off 12v... other wise maybe its bent rod in the door or broken clip or something.... study the other front door and compare...

Ahh, I came to the conclusion that the lock cylinder was ####ed. The spring was not letting it unlock (move counter clockwise?). So now the big question is how can I get another lock cylinder without changing my Key?

Swap out the lock mechanism and keep your lock barrel from the old one. Less than one hour work, less than $20 from wreckers.
Clean out lock barrel & sticky parts with metho, don't grease lock barrels, dry thouroughly and use graphite in lock barrel if you absolutely have to lube it.

That does sound good! Thank you so much, I'll try it asap!
