1991 vp 5 speed manual wont select 5 and reverse ??

why what could be the prob 5 and reverse wont select ? think it might be the selector and how much would that be to fix this prob ??

have you tried selecting 1st or 5th then going into reverse? I had the same problems in a vs ute and going from 2nd to 1st to reverse or going from 5th to reverse seemed to work for me.

i havnt done nuffin ill give that a try and get back to use........ and what do i need to say and where from to get it fixed ?
