I am installing a drop tank from a VR into a vp I have no worries installing it that parts easy, but the tank didn't come with the pick up- can I use my 63l pick up in the 80l? Apparently the pick up sits lower in a drop tank, how would I go about adjusting the float so my fuel gauge will be accurate?
There is a switch on your cluster to switch between the two tanks so the gauge reads right.
BTW its not a drop tank, its a long range fuel tank.

Thanks for the reply, I think the switch only changes the trip computer calculations, not the fuel gauge?
Ive heard people calling them drop tanks or long range fuel tanks but yeah I guess there really a long range fuel tank...

The bigger tank hangs lower, so you would imagine that the pickup would also need to hang lower.
