VS Caprice power steering rack.
Hi guys, been a while since i've been on here, just bought a new VS Caprice.
The bloke i bought it off said it had a power steering leak from the rack.
He also mentioned that one of his goober mates had put hair conditioner in the pump in an attempt to stop the squealing noise they can sometimes make, Seems like the bloke has absolutly no F-ing idea what he was doing, thus resulting in an apparently rooted rack.
The steering if very very light, way too light for any car..
Any ideas?
Also, are the racks in statesmans different from normal VR/VS commodores? V8 and V6?
