Default Where to splice in footwell and puddle lights??

    Hey

Gonna be doing this some time soonish when im bored. Going to put in SMD strips as footwell lights as well as puddle lights on my VP Sedan. Just wondering where is the best spot to splice in the relay (im doing it properly with a relay and new wiring straight to battery with inline fuse) so the lights turn on with the interior light? It doesnt need to have the relay situated where I splice it in as i can run some more wire, But im just looking for the best place to reduce the amount of wire and work needed to fit them up

    Cheers

    VKC

Why use a relay when the LED's are only going to be drawing 500mA at most? just splice them into the interior light circuit, you will see thick orange wires behind the trim panel above the pedals, these lead upto the dome light on the roof, easiest place to splice into, and its already fused

Yeah jack do that. If you want to do the relay tho just use the switched earth on the doors, white wire.

It'll be using quite a bit in the end wont it? Im ordering a 5M strip (600 LEDs) and I plan to use it all up. LOL.. footwells, puddle lights and possibly some more in the interior, such as on the roof (inside) to light up the car better...

Where is said wire Misch? As in the wire going to the button thing that knows when your door is on and off?

    #### 600?! At 20mA each you would have a 12A load. 18A at 30mA each.

Wires easy to find jack and use its that one that know when your door is open or not, would you like a diagram? They got paint on the computers at work. Pretty much look at the button on the door and behind it will be a white wire coming off it.
