Hi Guys,
Going to pull out the back window, just had a quick peek by pulling up one corner or the rear seal.
Is the rear window seal one seal (mine looks like its 2 parts)
One seal behind the window that attaches to the body
Another that fits around the edge and over the top of the window.
I think its one seal but mines so old its seperated ! Hard and brittle!
Its an executive VP commodore series II
Has anyone replaced their back window.. It it a single seal or double?.. also does anyone have any tips on taking it out and putting it in..

i have replaced the rear window from a VP Calais i wrecked into my VN, it was a one piece seal on both, i just used my original one as it was in good cond. I'd have a guess and say you'll be on rare spares to get a new one now??
think rare spares has them for $60
dont sweat the petty... pet the sweaty...
Well I pulled the seal off completely.
It is just a full single seal it was just coming apart.
The window is urethaned in underneath it, the problem is the damn rust was under the seal on the right hand side and almost under the urethane under the top meaning i have the choice of fully removing the glass and urethane and trying to treat the rust (but then Id have to get the rear window put back in which costs more $) or just cutting the holes back. Bogging it and letting nature take its course....
Given then age of the beast it may not be worth fixing properly and just bogging it and leaving the window as is....
