if you dont care about bending the steering wheel just bump it towards you with flat palms from the back at 3 oclock and 9 oclock. one hand at a time and that will eventually loosen it to come off... or if the wheel is off slide off the rubber sleve from the boss kit and slip a extension or breaker bar through the spokes and use the same method bang it like a see-saw back and forth and it will come off... might take 5 or 10 min but it loosen it...

just drill 2 holes im the boss kit, tap them, then use a steering wheel puller to pop it off. 10 mins it will be off if you have the tools. If you don't it's a good excuse to buy them :P

get someone to hold some tension on the wheel ( as if they were pulling it off) not too much. and get a deacent sized punch, or peice of roundbar or something. hold it on the main shaft and give it a bit of a hit with a hammer. wheel will fly straight back so lookout it might hit you in the head :P

use this method with caution as it could collapse steering columm, but does work

Steering wheel puller is a great investment. As is a set of taps. I needed both to take my alloy boss off the steering column so I could get the wheel 100% straight. The indicators should work fine with a non standard boss, as long as it's put on proply that is. Have a good look at how the indicator cancel slot sits on a standard wheel and you'll be right.
