Vn auto/ manual ecu?

just done a manual conversion on my vn s1 i changed motor and box! just wondering if i needed to change to ecu too?
any info would be appreciated

is the engine still s1? and from what month and year. theres a point where s1 changes to a different cam and some other stuff so you might need the ecu from the car the engine and box came from... the change is from mid october 1989. check out 88greenvn's post its a big one...

Correct, also correct on the cam. Just leave the computer the same, if you change it to the one from the manual and it had a different cam it will run like crap. Get a tune in the future off your auto one if you want.
