Recently I bought a Boss BA-1000 amplifier and 2 1200Watt JBL Subs.
I installed them and everything worked fine the first day but the second day after I left my car outside on a cold/wet night. I opened my boot to check on the subs and amp and found that the amp had quite a bit of condensation (water) on it, it was not as if it was dripping but was noticeably wet.
I started it up and everything still worked fine.
Ever since then I have been having A LOT of trouble with my car.
When listening to my music, if I opened the door then closed it, it would turn off the subs. I checked to see if something was getting knocked unplugged but it still happened when I pushed in the button the door pushes in when it closes and it still happened!
This button:
I disconnected the amp and subs but I left the cords running through the car (except the red power cord) and I am still having problems.
My battery drains every night to dead.
The interior light comes on and doesn't turn off (Removed globe and battery still drains)
Radio cuts in and out.
I am totally stumped here, I don't know if I have done some damage to the car with the amp or I have done something wrong in the installation.
The only thing I haven't yet unplugged is the silver ground wire I used with the amp. I actually grounded the wire on a bolt in the boot that had other wires leading to it so that may be the problem?
Anyway, if anyone has any advice please share because I am totally stumped.
