Notice its got a 1.8 litre engine in it,Ive read before that they used smaller engines in some export commodores...also it looks like its got a compartment with another glovebox latch near the steering column on the drivers side,you can see it in the pic with the drivers door open.

The VP had 2 export engines listed 2.0 (L96) and 2.6 (LY0). Don know how it could be a 1999 build tho.
