Fuel Damper?

Do I need a fuel damper on my VP V8? I notice that in the gregorys manual there is a fuel damper on the fuel line but I dont have one at all on mine?

If the factory fitted them, then it probably needs one..There would have to be a good reason why they fitted them in the first place..

on a vr v8 the damper is located on a bracket on the cylinder head as part of the fuel supply pipe just before the fuel injection rail. It is a can with an inlet pipe and an outlet pipe. You can blow straight through it. So what happens when it is removed? I took mine off for a while and felt no difference at all (took it off as I could not buy new bent fuel hoses that would fit it when the original 20 year old hoses finally gave up). Put it back on a month later and could tell no difference (and I run a 355 with 890 injectors so it sees plenty of fuel going through it)
