Hi!
My vn has climate control, the air con, fans etc is working but there is no heat! We have replaced the heater tap and flushed the heater core. Any ideas about getting the heater going before I turn into an iccle??
would be good to check to see if any of the vac lines or rods have come loose on your control knobs. just something else to eliminate...
dont sweat the petty... pet the sweaty...
There have been a few posts on her before on the CC systems and while searches can sometimes be frustrating () there may be something here already.
Most often the fault seems to be with the electrically actuated solenoid vacuum valves that are situated behind the fascia, just under the radio.
You can peform a visual check of the heater tap operation - have someone in the car, with the engine warm ( the CC won't switch the heater tap until it is) adjust the CC from cold to full hot as you observe the little lever on the heater tap from the engine bay. You should be able to see it move. If it does, then there is a problem with the cooling system (as the heater tap has laready been replaced) - maybe thermostat stuck open if the 'core flows through OK.
If it doesn't move then vacuum isn't being sent to the 'tap and it's likely the solenoid valve is faulty.
The CC units do fail but not so often. VR-VS CC units are different to VP/VQ (Statesman) if you need to replace it (used).
if the hot/cold air mix door motor isn't adjusted properly, the heater won't work properly either
