foglights dont turn off when i open the door but the head lights do wtf?

as the heading says, i have the original foglight loom in the car, not patched in, they come on fine and turn off with the button, but when i get to my destination and i open the door the headlights turn off but the fog lights dont. its a vp calais with a vr calais body loom including bcm etc etc

if you wire them in to the headlight loom so they can only turn on with you parkers/headlights then is should fix your problem

thanks mike......is that your resolution to my problem or.....?
kniever- the fog lights come on with my parkers and headlights because i earthed the 87a terminal on the fog light relay, but even before i did that they still didnt turn off when i opened the door but the parkers would. reason why i ask is my battery has gone flat a few times dew to forgetting i had turned them on.

They are fog lights, not driving lights. They are not part of the auto headlight circuit.

Easiest solution would be not to turn them on unless it's foggy.

well in that case why would there be threads on this site telling people how to make them come on with the headlights instead of just parkers and high beam? ive also now changed the globe in them to an led so they operate as daytime running lights, thats why i want them to turn off when i open the door

Regardless of how many people drive with them on or have done the conversion, it doesn't make it any less illegal.

Its stupid to drive along with your fog lights on when its not foggy,and most of the people who do this are too thick to realise that they have them adjusted wrong, so they end up blinding the cars coming the other way.I find it very annoying,Sometimes I wish I had a brick to throw at the idiot whos blinding me..well,not really,but geez, it does make me mad.
