vn ecu to vn loom (manual or auto) should be no problems - there can be ecu compatibility issues with later models (late vr -vs) with electronic auto transmission.

Considering vn v8 use the same 1227808 ecu for auto/man, there is no problem, its only the memcal that is different!

As i said in the PM, may help others

There is no such thing as auto/manual ecu's in the vn/vp commodores.

It will actually run fine on the auto memcal (Its hardly any different, if at all!)

I'm guessing if this is for a conversion, all you need to do is bridge the inhibitor switch (which is on the plug going to the auto selector, to avoid people trying to start the auto in gear)

    hope that helps.
