Can anyone tell me the proper way of fitting VN SS skirts?
Rear and side only for the moment.
Did a search and couldn't find anything specific.
Much appreciated!
BUMP!
Would've though there to be a huge response on this lol
Has anyone done it themselves before?
where did you find the kit from? I have been looking at the wreckers and ebay but hard to find the skirt kits
there are a few on ebay... last time i looked they actually had a full skirt kit, but all the ebay stuff is pricey
But yes, they are really hard to find for the right price, i got lucky in the trading post!
still chasing down a front lip though which are by far the hardest to source
few self tappers and some strong glue, that's all i used, no issues yet
as above.
or the proper way. double sided tape, also u will notice some slots on the underside these are for little plug looking things that clip to nipple things on the rocker panel, also screw in front wheel are and rear.
Awesome, thanks guys.
Will deffinetly be posting up some pics of my car in the holidays once I get this kit on!
I was going to suggest the way I was told to do my VPSS kit, some self tappers in the holes provided, and then a shallow but wide bead of sika down on the inside of the skirt...
Yeh, i think i'll go with the self tappers and some double sided sticky tape, simply cause i know it will be easier to remove and reapply if i stuff it up!
Will i have any issues with the rear lip and the small quarter rear lips (just near the wheel arch) no meeting properly and having some sort of gap? if so, best way to avoid this?
keeping in minds it's genuine so i might not have any issues...
I emailed a guy on eBay that makes fiber glass repo vn ss skirts and he wanted 700 plus post!!! Screw that.. Will keep searching the wreckers I think..
Get some pics if you can when you do it and what you used as well..
