    Default Horn

Hey guys, I have a vp commodore and the horn isnt working! I have tried most things I have found in threads but still no success. I was just hoping someone could tell me where the horn itself is actually located? I have tried searching and found nothing (in my car) so a location would be great! Thanks!

The horn switch operates from the steering wheel pad thing then through a sliding contact behind the wheel onto a brass buttony thing on a spring, the brassy thing wears out after about 10 to 15 years and you need to pull the steering wheel and put a new one in.

You can get away with roughing up the end of the pin and dropping a blob of solder onto it, instead of replacing it. I've fixed alot of my own cars this way and they all still work

Ok I have pulled the wheel off, the brass pin seems to stick out a fair bit but does look fairly worn. I'll try the solder on the weekend and see what happens. Thanks very much guys!
