Default VP boot garnish adapt to VN

Just wondering if it is possible to fit a VP boot garnish to a VN,ive got it on but its hitting something and i cant figure out what,i have 4/8 screws in so its held in place, not to mention that the VP garnish bolts dont line up to the VN...

    Ideas?

Hey mate, I have a VP garnish on my VN, i put it on there a few year ago, from what i can remember it was a straight swap except for the number plate lighting. Sorry i can't be more of a help but i did it years ago...

the garnish will go on except the 2 screw/bolts that sit behind the numberplate dont line up with the vn holes but luckly they just fall out of the garnish.
as for the numberplate light wiring, its pretty easy to run it through the lid and down the boot arm into the main wiring loom, just need to find the right wire.

ahhh i see, well i just drilled new holes for the screws to sit in but they arent long enough for the nut to grab,so il just seal it all,il have to drill a new hole though so the plug of the numberplate lights can be run to the loom, how many wires is that anyway?
