VR/VS dash conversion into VQ stato?????

Hi,

I am thinking about doing a vr vs stato dash conversion in my vq. I have read a few other threads on here of vr vs dashs into Vns so i no it can be done, just wondering if the wiring side of things is made any easier mine already being a statesman and if i could use the vq loom??? any tips on the conversion would be a massive help.

If you are doing the dash conversion then you will need to use the dash loom for the vr/vs as they are wired up differently to the vn vp vq series. (will/can turn to smoke if i remember correctly)

With the dash looms you will need eaither a level 3 loom if you have or will be putting in climate control, If it is just stock a/c then you will need to make a patch loom which involves grafting a few plugs into the loom so that everything will work.

Think there has been a big post about this before called TRIPPIN or something like that

Thanks heaps I had a good read of that thread and it looks like there's alot more involved than I first thought
I think my best bet would to just buy level 3 loom and find an autolec who would be up for doing the job.
