Hi,
just wondering whether the vr central locking remote is compatible with the VP series 2.
the remote with mine is stuffed and i cant find a replacement but there seem to be plenty of the vr remote/keys around.
thanks,
andrew.
Wont work champ, remote is linked to BCM, if u need a new remote go to wreckers n find a BCM with a remote.
BCM's must have same numbers on them too, think its 3x digits from memory, so check out what numbers are on ur BCM then go to wreckers.
BCM is under drivers side dash, above the tube to the r/h side vent
just brought 2 new remotes thriugh this addy for my vp they work awesume and were cheap NZRemotes <nzremotes@hotmail.com> only thing is u need a workin remote to program it by mine only worked sometimes but its now al perfect thanks to this guy
anyone ever stuck the output of a vp remote on an oscillioscope?
Were the remotes atleast smart enough to have rolling codes or were they just static codes or what. I know people said the remote system/alarm was based off a mongoose alarm and factory built into the car. Just wondered... Anyway.
BTW the camry remotes are pretty good for standard remotes on a cheap car. When you get a new remote its blank and you just put the car into program mode and press the button on all remotes and they get the new code from the car. Good idea....if you loose a remote its useless once you reprogram your remaining remotes. 3 turns of the ignition to ACC and press the remote buttons.... done..
not remote prob, but can someone pm me about bi passing the override lock in the door jamb. (bought the car with no zadi key) ive done the vn ones but the vp has this plate pop riveted over the computer in the kick panel and was wondering if theres an easier way to access it without all that drilling... cheers.....
dont sweat the petty... pet the sweaty...
