ok as we know when the vn or vp is low on fuel we have to be picky where to park so the car isnt on a lean to the left other wise it wont get fuel how would i go about stopping that. is it anything to do with the tank cause i have a vr tank at hand.
The later VP's built after 26th October 1992 had the VR type tank fitted, the difference was that the return fuel line now went back into the tank through the fuel pump/gauge assembly instead of going back into the tank via a seperate return line on the tank itself..
Can't say I've ever had that issue, but I imagine the problem would be the position of the fuel pick up. I don't think that changed with the VR as far as I know, but I could be wrong.
Not that I know of. I haven't experienced that issue in my VP.
well im gonna wack the vr tank in and hope it stops the prob.
hehe its a wanker isnt it. had the same problem in a vp wagon i borrowed. get to about a quarter of a tank , park on a hill with the nose pointing downhill and she wouldnt start. level it out and she would. changed the tank and fuel sender unit still had the same prob. i returned it to owner and said your car, your problem
