I have been growing slowly more annoyed over time that my L3 cluster's fuel readouts have been disabled entirely since I put the LS1 in and didn't connect the yellow/black wire to anything. I've decided it's high time I sort that out.

I found some pinouts that should be pretty close to my VX-spec LS1.

What I need to know is what feed the L3 gets from the computer in, for example, a 304 VN Calais. Here's a copy paste dump of my thought process earlier tonight:

wonder if i need to tap that wire onto ALL the injector feeds.. just wondering what the hell feeds it in a 5 litre, for example, which batch fires iirc

does it batch fire 4 or 8

no idea . ok. ASSUMING that wire just goes live in a factory 304 vn calais when a particular injector (or set of injectors) is pulsed, the trip computer would need to factor in a multiplication by 8 to account for all injectors.

pressure drop is constant if the FPR is doing its job

so..........I'd think tapping onto a single injector control wire on the blue plug of my ECU *should* give me a ball park figure of what i'm looking for, probably out by exactly the ratio of the injector flow rates 304:LS1 (including differences in rail pressure)

i'm thinking the flow calibration in the TC may cover it

625 is the standard number, pretty sure there's some adjust in that. enough to cover the flow difference in injectors i hope.

Anyone have any idea if I'm on the right track with this? And is anything terrible likely to happen if I just twitch it on to a random injector wire and see if it works?

any info/hints appreciated
Sam
