The cheapest would be to sell it to me.

Budget ? 1g or less, Forget it, sell the car. (

Apart from some cheap spring/shock combo and a drony cat back exhaust. To do either of these things properly will cost close to a grand. A good suspension package around 900, A good exhaust is close to 800 aswell.

1g or more, There is PLENTY you could do, but nothing nasty and cheap.

Fail right there. There is a **lot** you can do to those old things to get them moving for less than $300.

    1. Good service - plugs, rotor button, cap, leads and also a new coil. (it's probably seen better days about 10+ years ago) Also check timing - set it to 10deg BTDC (important for later)
    2. Corvette servo if it's an auto
    3. CAI (not a lot of gain there but it does help a little bit)
    4. 2.5" cat back system (I put a redback one on and it did an excellent job for $180)
    5. Replace the cat if it's blocked
    6. Tune.
    7. Spool if you want a track car - for the street they are a pain in the rear

That is enough to get you down to very low 14's or maybe even knocking on the door at 13 sec 1/4 mile with good tyres/track. It'll never keep up with the newer ls based cars but for a cheap car it's excellent value for money.

From there they sky is the limit cost wise but it's a great and very noticeable start. Check out the VP thread in my sig for a (very) long version of the above.

Unless your cam is stuffed (then only get a super mild one), it's a waste of money unless you do a whole engine build with more compression, cam, manifold, tb and so on but that starts getting expensive.

Reaper you forgot diff gears. Theyre excellant for a cheap yet effective performance they wont give your more power but increase in acceleration makes a huge difference especially on street
