304 into v6 troubles

hi i have avg v6 ute that i'm putting a 304 out of a statesman into just have couple of questions.
i put the statsman dash and all dash loom in to to make it easy, and have put a b&m shifter in too. (just to help out)
the first problem i have is when the ignition is on i have all dash lights except the battery light??? any help appreciated.
next and main problem is i have no engine light in park and neutral but do in the gears, and the fuel pump wont prime, does the statesman have a theft immobiliser that i need to override or some thing??
any help please...

Does the car start? When I did my 304 conversion into my 4runner I had to buy a gadget that was wired into the loom canceling the immobilisers so the car would start. But we also did a 304 conversion into a V6 Calais donor car and had no issues.

Which model of Statesman might help. As you are posting in VN-VP, can we asume that it's from a VQ? There are two variants in VQ: ~VN Series II equivalent and VP equivalent.

Both use an immobiliser but the first is stand alone the second is in the BCM.

The immobiliser cuts power to one of the ECM terminals in either case and you don't get a CEL up without the immobiliser being disabled.
