My vp 4.9 senator has a radiator issue every second day i have to put around alitre in radiator? No visible external leaks and no excessive steam from exhaust and oil seems fine not emulsified, runs well even in hot weather any ideas
It might be leaking out when you fill it up. Check behind the radiator shroud. Fill it up and idle it till it reaches operationg temp whilst watching the engine bay , hoses radiator etc etc. If not it could be the valley inlet gasket sucking in coolant to the cylinders. Goodluck .
Whats the best way to check the velley inlet gasket mate run some oil around the manifold or ????
You can pull the plugs and look for clean ones on the end cylinders, or just change the intake gaskets for peace of mind but would suck to do that and find it's a head gasket sucking water and pressurizing the system. Have you got a way to test for combustion deposits in the cooling? Like a test kit or just a basic home garage?
Also check your overflow and pressure cap that it isn't just letting water out and not sucking it back.
I wouldn't be worried about a blower just yet lol
Ive already got the blower etc just not fitted coz i may sell the car and go for american muscle not 304 cast iron crap
Go to a mechanic or radiator place and ask them to do a preasure test on the cooling system.. You might have a pin prick in a hose that you can find?
are you still running the engine fan?
