I want to service the auto in my Series 1 VN & the owners manual says to use Dexron 11d ATF. I'm struggling to find a suitable replacement due to unclear labels that talk about every Dexron grade except Dexron 11 or 11d. As near as I can tell Castrol Transmax M is what I'm after but I want to be sure before I actually start the service. The last thing I want to do is pour the wrong stuff in there & fry the trans. Can anyone offer any advice?
Thank you.

Mate u can use dextron 3 ive been using it in my vp senator for years, after i got my trans fully re built mechanic advised that it was ok to use
Thanks Hipee.
Looks like I'm actually going to have to go spend some money then. I was hoping the Transmax M would be ok as I have heaps of that already & I wouldn't have to buy new ATF.

Castrol Transmax M used to be their Dexron 2 so it's probably OK as long as it's spec GM6137M is what a VN needs, Dexron 3 would be better if you drive it hard or tow etc.
Thanks for the replies. I ended up I just bought some Castrol TQ-DIII & used that. It's not like it costs much so I decided to go with something that offers a bit more than the Transmax M.
