Hi again
I had a problem with my vn v6. it would start then stall and not start again. I was told that it was either the fuel pump or the coil packs. I replaced the fuel pump because I couldn't hear it running.
I did the diagnostic and got error code 41.
I replaced the crank angle sensor and the car was fine for a week then started doing it again.
error code 42. I replaced the coil pack, leads and plugs. reset the computer and away it went with no error codes. I did not replace the ignition module though as I couldn't afford it.
it lasted for 2 weeks now I am back to error code 41 crank angle sensor. I haven't used second hand parts, only new. what should I look at now?
Possible that the o2 sensor is dying, it can cause it to stall when you've started it.
When it does start, and is about to die.. Do you rev it? if so... does it still stall.. or only delay it, then it will stall again?
Another good lil trick I was told, prime you're fuel pump twice.. so turn the key all the way to the point, just before it will fire the engine.. and do it again, 3rd time fire the engine up and see what happens.. if it fires up 1st go, normally it's fuel pressure thats low, and MIGHT cause the CAS to show an error.. my ol' vp did that too =( ...
