DIY Boot Customising

I'm wanting to use this thread for people to post hints & tips (design, how to, best materials etc) about customising the space in thier boot. I havn't found a thread dealing with this (unless I missed it somehow) & am about to make my first attempt at boot customising on my VN this week, so I thought if people could put in thier tips, experiences, success, failures etc, it would be a very handy resource for myself & others to refer to so we can avoid some of the pitfalls. As a first timer at this I'm only after simple ideas myself but please feel free to post advanced stuff here as well for those that are more ambitious than myself.

Oh I know one, for soundproofing or whatever it's a big car and dynamat or whatever it's called is expensive. A thing much like classic dynamat is roofmat or aluminium tape







You can buy that cheap and line whatever you want with it, apparently can stink for a bit longer than your average dynamat or deadening mat but it's so cheap it's worth waiting the couple weeks for it to clear. I'm going to do my car with it cause it does work and makes a difference, would be useful for a custom sub and amp setup kinda like I'm going to do soon Also makes the rear much quieter if you do over the wheel wells and stuff, mine was really loud before I got stuff in the rear seat area cause a previous owner had removed some of the deadening, you can clearly hear the difference.
