Hey I'm getting a weird noise down in the passenger foot well when braking and taking off again. The sound is like a leaf fluttering in a fan, but why only when I brake, are the brake vaccums the same as the fan. First I thought it was the computer making a noise, what could it be? has anyone else had that, I only noticed cause i turned my stereo off.
Not something caught in the blower fan for interior?
Id check behind ur glovebox, probly lost a bit of paper outta the glovey and has gone into the blower fan
Or its it lower, sounds like its out of the car?
If it's only when your braking then I'd be inclined to think it's something to do with the brakes themselves or something that comes under load when braking, like castor bars. Pull the left front wheel off & check that everything appears to be in order to start with. Pay attention to the wheel itself & make sure that there isn't anything stuck on the inside of it or into the tyre. Make sure the two caliper bolts are tight & that the caliper isn't moving around. If all looks well then I'd probably remove the caliper & check if there is a small stone or anything like that jammed between the pads & the disc. If not then I would move onto the suspension components checking that all the bushes & ball joints are in good order.

mine sometimes makes a squeaking noise on the driverside when breaking. almost like a binding door hinge. i went under and noticed one of those shims that holds the break line to the shock unit is missing and the line is just floating around. think thats what my noise is. gotta get over the wreckers and grab one....
dont sweat the petty... pet the sweaty...
hey guys, had alook at the front wheels and calipers and everything seems fine, is there an easy way to get to the fan under the dash like to get the vaccum hose in there, I think there are leaves in there
