vp v6 fuel pump and vp v8 fuel pump

just wondering is the vp v6 fuel pump the same as the vp v8 fuel pump

i think so i put a v8 stato tank and pump in my v6 vp ans it works fine

Any idea how the fuel pump is held to pick up? Is tere ment to be hose and clamps or does the little box lookin thing hold it?also there is no return line on swirl pot but also no return in sender its in tank at another spot is this right?
