Hey fella's,
Most cold mornings, my front windscreen fogs up on the out side? i cleaned it thoroughly cause i thought it might have just been dirty, but that hasn't help?
Dont know if this could cause it, but the guy i bought the car off put a bypass hose for the heater tap, so theres no heater tap and the lines run from the block back into the block, and where the lines go back into the fly wall through those two connections, theres no hoses connected to them? could maybe air, or a moisture build-up cause it
if anyones had this happen or has any tips, please let me know
cheers!
Clean it thoroughly with some real evil windscreen cleaner that can remove even waterspots, maybe even a very fine claybar and apply rain-X. Rain-x is like....magic, I swear. Use it on helmet visors and all sorts.
Try leaving the heater on but running the air-conditioning as well. It won't cool the air, just de-humidify it.
you need to match the inside temperature with the outside temperature, so the colder the better
But if there's no moisture in the air how can it fog up?you need to match the inside temperature with the outside temperature, so the colder the better
Shoot TinSnips a pm and ask his advice.....detailing is his speciality and he is dam good at it![]()
Lots of things, I used to use glass science till I found that could leave scratches sometimes even if you followed instructions. So now I tend to use a soft cloth and a homemade polish normally used on perspex and gelcoat or if it's tough 0000 wool and the polish. It's hard work removing waterspots if they have been on a while.
It's how I deal with the racecar that doesn't have A/C or a heater, just a bilge blower hooked into the old vents to circulate air and some rain-X anti fog on the inside and plain rain-X on the outside. Works a treat.
I have the same problem by the back window.. I use glass cleaner but have been told car polish works well but yet to try it..
an old remedy is to cut a potato in half then rub it on the inside of the windscreen then polish with a cloth .
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
rain-x anti fog on inside glass, normal rain-x on exterior glass. end thread.....
dont sweat the petty... pet the sweaty...
Condensation on windows, or anything for that matter is simply... Difference in A. Humidity, and B. Temperature; from inside object X to outside of object X.
Unless you are God, or Chuck Norris... you may not conquer this equation.
cheers for the advice guys![]()
