    Default Dash squeal

    Hey guys,
In my VP at 80km on the speedo, it keeps making a high pitch squeal noise somewhere behind the dash. I don't know where exactly, but it will only happen when the needle sits on 80. Any ideas?

Try a different dash maybe. I've herd VP's dashboards "squeal" before when converting to L3 cluster and not moving one of the green wires.

Yeah ok. Will a V8 cluster work in a V6?

Basicly yes - just the tacho and temp gauge will be a little out. The PCB backing to the cluster and speedo will be the same.

Yeah ok. How many rpm will the tacho be out. Is it only like 200rpm more or like 2000more?

From memory it's like around 800 rpm. You can swap the tacho over between clusters. But for a test to see if it's the speedo head or not it should not matter what the RPM is. If the squeal stops you know it's some part of the cluster and more likely confined to the speedo.
