well! Car just came back from the mechanic. Went there requiring a crank sensor, came back with a twelve hundred dollar bill.. Car was full with little mice.. In any case, problem solved. Though, now the fan will not turn on. The mechanic has wired it up temporarily so it will turn on with ignition. Question is, where can i start? I'd rather tinker around on my own. I've given more enough of my savings to people.thanks all. Dan.
1200 bucks
Time for a new mechanic.
$1200? That couldn't have been just the crank angle sensor that was changed. Sensor itself only cost like $50 from Repco.
$1200, id be walking like i rode a horse. you grabbed your ankles on that one....
dont sweat the petty... pet the sweaty...
no no, it was supposed to be just a sensor swap, but he found leaky injectors, replaced the module and crank sensor, wiring was a mess underneath the driver side panel housing the fuse panel, labour and somehow he shorted out the ecu. Haha. It runs well again, bar the thermo fan..
