    Hey all, my ute is about due for a new clutch,

    So far i have only looked on ebay and found these 2, just wanted peoples thoughts on them, Are they any good.

    I only use my ute as a daily drive have done no mods to the motor.

    Holden Commodore VN VG VP VR 5.0L V8 Clutch Kit | eBay

    Out of these 2 which would be best for me.

    Id go for a heavy duty one,even if the vehicle is driven normally.They cost more ,but will usually last a lot longer.

    yeah i thought as much, is there any brands i should be keeping away from or are they all pretty much similar?

    yip, ive got that exedy kit in my VS commy, its not THAAT heavy, but may get abit to get use to at the start.. Just make sure you bed it in properly, I.E dont drop it in then drop a skid.. Drive it normal for at least 500kms, then from there add some load to it.

    I have a 6puk solid centre clutch running behind an SR20DET, that thing is freakn heavy, but shit that sucker grips...

    may as well buy a spriggot bearing while your at it... dont expect much change back from $5 thou haha

    haha screw that, Id sell it before i replace that.

    As far as i can tell from driving my ute, I think its manly the springs in the clutch that are rooted, as the clutch doesn't slip at all and never has, But it doesn't engage at the same point it used to, and its much softer to push in with my foot.
