    Default VP idles rough

Ive recently been having problems with my VP commodore idling like crap and using a fair bit fuel. The car wants to idle really rough when cold or hot likes its going to stall then it revs up and slowly crawls back to jumping and stuttering. Ive replaced the bits that i thought were bad:
    - 02 Sensor. kept displaying code 43, installed a one off a mates car made no difference
    - cleaned IACV and throttle body
    - new leads
    - 6 different map sensors
    - replaced all the vacuum hoses around the throttle body
    - new plugs

Really apreciate if anybody would be able to help me figure out why it runs like crap.
    Thanks

Do all the basic stuff, gap the plugs top spec if you havent, run a bit of injector cleaner/diesel through it see if it improves. does it miss? could be coil packs. Air filter not clogged, else could be a CAS but i doubt it as they normally work or they dont. does it drive fine but just idle crappy?

Yeah i ran a tank of bp ultimate and injector cleaner a couple of weeks back, it seemed to smooth out the idle just a tad but it still wanted to shake badly when stopped at the lights or when in park. It blows a bit of black smoke when i put my foot down but otherwise it runs fine. Air filter is new, coil packs are the original ones with 200k on em.

After my drive back from work which is like 5mins and i park it the car will miss and sometimes stall when i put it into park, starts straight back up fine though.

Possibly inlet manifold gasket. Did mine recently and I've never seen so much black crap in one place. Idles very smooth now. Here's some info, took me about 4 hours, $78 for new seal at Bursons:

is this a shot inlet manifold gasket?

    Inlet Manifold (Gasket???)

    inlet manifold gasket leak?

    changing inlet manifold gasket??

This is the 'How To', it's a good guide, but from another website, can email it if it annoys people:

also if you swap out the o2 sensor better off using a new one, the one you borrowed or gave you might be a dud as well.. and youll be chasing your tail not being able to conclusively say that it was the problem.... also inspect and maybe clean you throttle body, might have heavy deposits gumming up the works, causing your jalopy symptoms...
