Anyone know how to remove a vn shifter handle

Anyone know how to remove a vn t bar shifter handle cheers.

talking about drilling out he pop rivets and removing the whole unit from the trans tunnel? or just the rubber handle and lever? just wondering... if just he lever and handle think you have to drive the pin out from the lever part of the handle, then there the rubber top piece is attached with screws or split pin or something youll have to see after you free the lever as ive never taken one off.... also why you need it off? just wondering

its the rubber part im putting a leather caprice one in it cheers.

it all makes sense now...

just pull on the base of the handle and lever it around in an upward motion they hold on by little barbs on the stem.

how do i get the pin out cheers

the pin in the lever you pull up i assume just use a pin punch ,theres no pin holding the main handle on.
