Default Are front hubs separate from discs (rotors)?

Gotta do the wheel bearings one of these days. Never even pulled the front wheels off to have a look yet. Question - are the discs and hubs one piece like in earlier Holdens or are they separate like most Japanese cars?

Someone is bound to correct me here, but pretty sure they used pretty much the same stuff from Kingswoods right through to VP. I think you can use the same front wheel bearings from HQ all the way to VP. VR-VS switched to separate hub/disc setup.

I was under the impression that the disk could be taken off by undoing the 2 screws and a soft hammer's persuasion..

The hubs are part of the rotors on a VN-VP. They are the same rotors from VB to VP, not sure about anything earlier but I doubt it. Wheel bearings are the same right from HQ up to VP (maybe even before the HQ as my Torana had the same type).
Bearings are easy to get in just remove the old bearing from the old rotor and grind the outside of it down so it slips in and use it as a dolly for the new bearing placing a bar accross the back of it and use a press if you have one or a hammer making sure to hit is squarely.

There ya go, added something to stop any confusion.

Yes, hub is part of the rotor, VB-VN and early VP are the same rotors, late VN with FE2, V8 and late VP were different, but the bearings are all the same.
