can u fit a vn v6 motor and wiring loom into a vs statesman an
I wouldnt see a problem, obviously its not the exact same specs in size as the original but it should fit, might need some persuation, maybe a firewall clearance or side wall issue, best way to check is drop the car onto the engine and see what hits, use blutac on the engine,if pieces stick to the body you know thats where you will have a problem.
cool looks like i im going to try fit a vn motor into statesman my other issuse was think all the wiring for the electric dash windows
why would you rip the ecotech and electronic trans out to put a 3.8 in??? wiring loom would be different as they use different transmission's
cause there no motor in the stato and they cut the wiring loom and i have vn spare so thought might transfer everthing fom the vn to the stato
you wont legally be able to do it as it wont meet emissions for that year car, ecotecs are cheap enough these days that you will pick one up dirt cheap and do it properly...
"A life lived in fear is a life half lived"
Its illegal in NSW to fit an olden engine then the make of the car.... Or so i was told by the cop when i was checking about putting a Ecotec into my VR.
Just buy a smashed VS for $300 and use that hole lot easier and safer.

Yes I know, if you get anymore manly you are in danger of making yourself pregnant!
It's a shame your not in wa I would give you an ecotec and transmission if you took the statesman it was attached to (for free)
I would personally try and find an Ecotec with all Loom and ECU, hook it all up, and off ya go.
I honestly think there is no point in fitting a VN V6 into a VS. If it was a VR Stato, no problem.
Woz.
yeah i going to find a cheap vs with good motor and gearbox wish i was in wa though would take the motor start of ya
if you have all the vn wiring and comp then it's a simple conversion but you will have to sacrifice the electronics like climate control and power windows so your way better off hunting down a eco and doing it properly
