hey guys just want some opinions on putting a shift kit into my 88 vn 3.8l good or bad idea?
subscribing for the info...
A mate had his VN shift kitted, full manualised, thrashed the crap out of it everywhere, eventually destroying the flex plate, not sure if it was just bad luck, or if it puts extra stresses on the flex plate etc? Maybe a heavy duty flex plate as well??
I had the transgo stage 3 shift kit(manual valve body) in my vp It was pretty good shifted pretty firm driven hard for a year never smashed a flex plate but they a known for cracking just with the standard auto

Hey mate i read about your shift kit post. I have a brand new never used since complete build vn auto box. Was originally from street commodores car v6 vengeance everything brand new and cant build box any stronger fully manulised, b&m shifter and all components, corvette servo, kevlar bands, just letting you know as i only want $1500 for it with the complete b&m shifter and components. Have receipts from build also. To build box like this you would be looking at a min of $5000.00 only selling as going to use a manual now
Old digup I know but do you have any info on the manual valvebody in the box, brand name etc.? Was it reverse pattern/engine braking ?
