mystry cable on duel fuel switch

Hey all ive got a mystery black cable that is sitting with my duel fuel switch. im guessing its an earth or somthing, i know now that the light on the switch doesnt work at all..it use too

any one know what this could be

The positive or ground for the LED? I would go with positive though.

if its the ground..should i just screw it off to something behind the switch area..

I would be more thinking it's the positive with a common ground.

Have you put a test light on it?

no dont have a test light but i do have a meter..i put a tap on it tomorrow and let you guys know cheer!
