The ALDL (Assembly Line Diagnostic Link) connector plug is the one you need to find. Its usually located around or behind the passenger side kick panel. Its got 6 pins in the plug.Heres a link below to a post that has pics of where the plug is located and what it looks like etc,and also shows which pins need to be bridged to put the car into diagnostic mode so the ignition timing can be set correctly. You can also check the computer system for any logged error codes by bridging these same connector pins.Once the pins are bridged and the ignition key turned to the ON position,it will flash up any logged codes up on the check engine light on the dash.Have a read of the posts in the link to find out more on this as its very handy to know.
