Hello again lads!
It's crunch time. I have decided to go all out this weekend, by changing the fan relay and thermostat and doing an auto trans oil service.
it's a series 1 VP berlina, or so I'm led to believe. I don't want to run into another incorrect Crank Angle sensor type situation again; so, to put it simply...
Are the fan relay, and fan Thermostat the same; throughout the v6 VP range? And, to add; What price would I be expected to pay at Super Shit auto, for these two items?
Secondly, the Auto Transmission is due for an oil changeup; so I'll attack it this weekend. Any particular brand or type I should use over the others? (Car has 107 000 km)
Thankyou!
Dan.
1) Relays are relays, yes they're all the same
2) Thermostats are the same
3) And all Dextron III transmission fluids are the same, just get a home brand bottle.
4) Buy a trans service kit too, while you've got the pan off draining the sump oil, you should change the filter assembly, and put a new gasket on.
